2018 saw our revamped website (www.ambleelectrical.co.uk ) broaden its range of products offered, with thousands of product lines now available to purchase online, most with next-day delivery.
The website was designed, built and is maintained entirely in-house. This means that unlike many wholesaler websites, it was designed by those with decades of experience in the electrical wholesale industry.
We offer over 5000 products online as of January 2019 including lighting, heating, tools, wiring accessories, cable management, cable accessories, CCTV and fire detection.
Amble offer specialist designer domestic lighting as well as LED High bay options which cannot be found for sale online anywhere else.
Another unique selling point of the Amble website is the option to purchase NICEIC and ELECSA products and services online including books, certificates, stickers and lockout kits.
Delivery is next-day for the vast majority of products. Amble also offer free delivery on orders over £50 as well as a free click-and-collect service.
The website features a clean and easy-to-use design. The website also adapts for mobile devices using a simple drop-down menu to view product categories.
The website has a quotation facility as well as the option for customers to view their quotation history. An account facility is also provided.
Customers can add products to their wish list for later browsing or purchase.
Amble’s primary warehouse currently holds approximately £130,000 worth of stock, which fulfills website orders. We are also partnered with ElectraCentre Distribution, which is akin to having an extra 10,000 sq. feet of warehouse space and holding another £500,000 worth of stock, reducing delivery lead-time, and avoiding problems with minimum order quantities direct from manufacturers, meaning that Amble can take advantage of bulk prices and pass savings to the customer as well as having greater control over stock levels.
Amble boasts a team of very experienced sales staff led by Managing Director Susan Yearnshire, Sales Director Mark Yearnshire and Operations Manager Paul Soper, who have a combined experience of nearly 90 years in electrical distribution.

Amble Electrical have launched marketing campaigns for several new products in the past year. These include the innovative Cable Companion, new electrical vehicle charging points and led high-bays for industrial and warehouse use.
In our 2018 ‘Vantastic’ promotion one of our customers won a brand new Citroen Berlingo van, read-branded with their logos. These campaigns were also marketed extensively on social media and on trade counter posters and point-of-sale displays.
Our social media presence is vast, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest Instagram, Google+ and Youtube. Amble have run large campaigns on these sites as well as engaging actively with the electrical community. We have also used social media to promote awareness of electrical and fire safety, electrical industry news, apprenticeships and training, as well as energy saving initiatives for all.
