Last night saw 270 members of the electrical wholesaler industry celebrate hard work and success across the sector at the Lancaster London Hotel.
Organised by Datateam Business Media, the Electrical Wholesaler Awards are designed to recognise and highlight the achievements and services of electrical wholesalers and manufacturers, from the best individual wholesaler branch to the best marketing campaign. The awards ceremony was a stunning event attended by hundreds of people in the industry.
On arrival at the venue, guests were greeted with an exclusive drinks reception, sponsored by Scolmore Group, offering the opportunity to network with colleagues and peers before the first half of the award presentations. Hosted by director, actor and presenter Ryan Philpott, the first half of the ceremony honoured the efforts of the electrical wholesalers, as nominated by the industry.
The first award of the night, Best Electrical Wholesaler: Sole Branch went to G2 Electrical Wholesale, with Amble Electrical Distributors being highly commended. Best Electrical Wholesaler: 2-5 Branches, sponsored by Lyvia Electrical, was won by LAMPS- The Electrical Wholesaler with R&B Star being highly commended, whilst Best Electrical Wholesaler: 6-25 Branches, sponsored by Shayla Electrical, went to Kew Electrical, with Devondale Electrical Distributors being highly commended. Electric Center was the deserving winner of Best Electrical Wholesaler: 26+ Branches, sponsored by One Electrical, while Eyre & Elliston was highly commended.
Next up was Best Individual Electrical Wholesaler, sponsored by Contactum, which went to Amble Electrical Distributors (Luton), with both Electric Center (Walthamstow) and A W Electrical Supplies (Enfield) being highly commended. JEGS won Best Electrical Wholesaler Website, while UK Electrical Supplies was highly commended. Paul Morrish of Electric Center was named Branch Manager of the Year, with Mark Yearnshire of Amble Electrical Distributors being highly commended. The deserving winners of the Training Excellence Award, sponsored by Schneider Electric, were Jolanta Brocka and Oliver Burness of Newey & Eyre.
Attendees then enjoyed a sumptuous three-course meal, followed by Nish Kumar’s comedy routine. The second half of the award ceremony was dedicated to manufacturers and all of their hard work across the industry.
Best New Product went to WISKA UK for the Shark Sixeight Series: IP68 Gel Insulated Joints, while Scolmore Group’s Click Smart Switches was highly commended. Best Supplier Sales Representative was won by Hannan Miah of Brother UK, with Paul Woolley from ML Accessories (Knightsbridge) being highly commended. Pinnacle Solutions was the deserving winner of Best Training Provider, while The Electrical Distributor’s Association was highly commended.
The Best Marketing Campaign went to Scolmore Group for the Scolmore App campaign with Klein Tools being highly commended for the Buy Today, Win Today campaign. Heat Mat Ltd won the award for Best Supplier Customer Service, while WISKA UK Ltd was highly commended. Heat Mat Ltd scooped up another award being named Best Overall Supplier, with Scolmore Group being highly commended. Finally, the prestigious Lifetime Contribution award went to Bob Robertson of R&B Star.
